Vodka Trends in Flavored Vodka, Vodka Sales, Vodka Price

The current vodka trend involves the flavorless characteristic of vodka providing opportunities to use creative flavorings, premium designer labeling and elite marketing strategies. Vodka can be infused with a wide range of flavors from fruits and berries such as:

With multiple flavoring potential, vodka marketers compete to develop the next flavored vodka of choice. Besides flavored vodka, also known as infused vodka, the biggest vodka trend seems to be mid-grade vodkas that have a price range between USD 10-17 dollars. Sales for these vodka brands have steadily increased up to 10% from last year. However, the economy may have contributed to the 5% decline in vodka sales for premium vodka brands.

However the mid-grade vodka trends such as Svedka, Seagram, SKYY, Gordon, and Smirnoff all increased in their vodka sales and profits from 25%- 56%.

The main vodka trend in vodka cocktails tends to be any vodka drink combined with flavors, fruits, and juices. This can be apple vodka martinis, screwdrivers, concoctions blended with flavored vodkas and infused fruits and berries, and vodka shots such as lemon drops. Even the old-fashioned Bloody Mary still seems to be popular for sufficing the taste buds. The Cosmopolitan tops the trend in vodka cocktails. In the United States, the Cosmopolitan, made popular by Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and the City, continues to be the traditional vodka cocktail of choice. Vodka trends will always be competing with the traditional spirits and wines.
